Same issue as above. New plugs last week of January 2022, insist on updates and fail every time. Tried all the suggestions above. The update listed as available is 53, “time of day” says I have to update to use the feature.

My 4 plugs arrived and I finished setting up 3 of the 4. The 4th plug will not updated to the newest firmware. The first 3 have been updated to v1.2.0.206. It says it’s firmware is v1.2.0.53. So every time I open up in the app it says Firmware Update Required. Even when it’s unplugged. This is annoying. I’ve tried updating the plug 5 times already and it says to try updating again.

My Wyze plug 2021 is on firmware 1.2.0.126. The Wyze app says a firmware update is available, and I have attempted to update it numerous times; however, the update fails repeatedly. The plug still works as normal and can be controlled via the app. I have power cycled it several times.

Just bought a 2-pack of Wyze Plugs at the local Home Depot. Naturally both of them had out of date firmware and needed an upgrade. The first one upgraded with no problem and so far works fine. The second one refuses to do the firmware upgrade, and without it I can’t use scheduling which is the main reason I bought them. Do I need to drive back over to Home Depot and return them? I turned off cellular data. Left on Bluetooth and WIFI. Then it worked on iphone 11.

Two days ago, all of my Wyze Plugs (Model WLPP1) went offline. My internet and wifi work fine. I tried to reconnect which did not work so I removed the devices from Wyze app and tried to add them back in. I get to the point where I select the Wyze Plug in wifi and it tries to connect but never does. I have tried it with each of the plugs and get the same negative result. Any suggestions?

Hi there. I’m new to HA but think its terrific. I was able to transfer over much of my old Vera system with the help of the tutorials and this community. I picked up a Wyze Camera and Wyze Plug 2pack at Home Depot yesterday. Got the camera working just fine but can’t seem to figure out how to get the plug working. I have the IP address but am not sure about the configuration.yaml settings. Is it possible to use these plugs in an HA system? Thanks for the help in advance!
